Install Shotcut Video Editor in Ubuntu

Here is a Shotcut non-install Linux binary package available on Github.

There are two ways to install Shotcut on Linux. One is using PPA repository and other is Snap Store. We’ll see both way.

1. For Ubuntu 14.04 & Ubuntu 16.04 who’ve never installed a snap app, open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run command to install snapd daemon:

sudo apt-get install snapd snapd-xdg-open

2.Then install Shotcut snap app via command:

sudo snap install shotcut --classic

Once installed, launch it from your application launcher and enjoy!
